1953-1958 Commandant sur les lignes des Antilles, d'Amérique Centrale, d'Amérique du Nord et du Pacifique - Commander on the lines of the Antilles, North America, the Central América and the Pacific

Le 5 septembre 1953 Pierre Capitaine prend son premier poste de commandant de la marine marchande sur le cargo mixte GUADELOUPE qui vient d'être acheté par la Compagnie Générale Transatlantique lors de la liquidation de la Compagnie France Navigation.Ce cargo est affecté à la ligne des Antilles et son premier départ a lieu le 8 septembre.



 On September 5, 1953 Pierre Capitaine takes his first post of commander of the merchant navy on the cargo and passenger vessel GUADELOUPE which has been just bought by the French-Line at the time of the liquidation of the Company France Navigation.Ce cargo liner is affected with the line of the Antilles and its first departure takes place on September 8.

 De mai 1954 à juin 1954 il commande le cargo INDOCHINOIS utilisé sur les lignes de la Transat desservant l'Amérique du Nord, l'Amérique Centrale et le Pacifique.

From May 1954 to June 1954 he commands the INDOCHINOIS cargo and passenger vessel used on the lines serving North America, the Central America and the Pacific.

Le 26 juin 1954 il prend le commandement du CDT MILLIASSEAU qui vient d'être acquis par la French-Line. Il navigue sur la ligne des Antilles.

On June 26, 1954 he takes the command of CDT MILLIASSEAU which has been just acquired by French-Line. He sails on the line of the Antilles.

Il retrouve l'INDOCHINOIS en juillet 1955.
Il prend ensuite le commandement de l'ESTEREL cargo affecté à la ligne Bordeaux Antilles.

He commands again the INDOCHINOIS in July 1955.
He takes then the command of the ESTEREL affected cargo liner  to the line Bordeaux-the Antilles

Le 20 décembre 1955 il embarque sur le PONT AUDEMER qui est un cargo de type "Liberty Ship" faisant partie des bateaux  construits par les américains pendant la guerre puis octroyés à l'Etat Français en 1946.

 On December 20, 1955 he embarks on the PONT AUDEMER which is a cargo vessel of the type “Liberty Ship” belonging to the boats built by American during the war then granted at the French State in 1946.

Le 9 avril 1957 il prend le commandement du LA HAGUE affecté sur la ligne des Antilles,  le 23 juillet de la même année du  FORT DAUPHIN.

On April 9, 1957 he takes the command of LA HAGUE on the line of the Antilles. On July 23 of the same year he commands the FORT DAUPHIN.

Du  27 novembre 1957 au 3 août 1958 il commande le FORT SAINT PIERRE, bananier de 3200 tonnes de port en lourd, sur la ligne des Antilles.


From November 27, 1957 to August 3, 1958 he commands FORT SAINT PIERRE, banana ship of 3200 deadweight tonnage, on the line of the Antilles.
