1958-1963 Commandant sur les lignes d'Amérique du sud, du Maroc et d'Amérique du nord - Commander on the lines of South America, Morocco and North America

A partir du 13 août 1958 et jusqu'au 2 novembre 1959, Pierre Capitaine commande le cargo mixte EQUATEUR sur la ligne d'Amérique du Sud, côte pacifique (Chili et Pérou).  


From August 13, 1958 and until November 2, 1959, Pierre Capitaine commands the cargo and passenger vessel EQUATEUR on the line of South America, coast of the Pacific Ocean (Chile and Peru).

L'EQUATEUR

De novembre 1959 au 3 janvier 1960 il dirige le préarmement du LONGWY en construction au chantier naval du Trait puis commande ce navire après son lancement, jusqu'au 15 août 1960.

 From November 1959 to January 3, 1960 he manages preparation of the  LONGWY in construction by the shipyard of Le Trait in France. Then he commands this ship after its launching, until August 15, 1960.

Du 15 décembre 1960 au 24 août 1961 il assure le commandement du CHARLES PLUMIER sur la ligne du Maroc: Bordeaux-Casablanca. Cet ancien bananier transformé pendant la guerre en patrouilleur de haute mer et battant pavillon de la Force Navale Française Libre (FNFL) a participé au débarquement de Normandie comme navire amiral. Il a ensuite été restructuré en cargo mixte.   

From December 15, 1960 to August 24, 1961 he ensures the command of the CHARLES PLUMIER on the line of Morocco: Bordeaux-Casablanca. This old banana boat was transformed during the war in the patrol craft of open sea by the Free French Naval Force (FNFL). It took part in the unloading of Normandy like flagship. It was after the war restructured in the cargo and passenger vessel.

Du 20 novembre 1961 au 19 mars 1963 il commande le WASHINGTON,  plus grand cargo mixte de la Compagnie avec ses deux sisterships: le WINNIPEG et le WYOMING (les trois W ). Il navigue sur les lignes de la côte ouest des Etats Unis et du Canada.

 From November 20, 1961 to March 19, 1963 he commands WASHINGTON, larger cargo and passenger vessel of theFrench Line with its two sisterships:  WINNIPEG and WYOMING (three W). He sails on the lines of the West coast of the United States and Canada.
